In October 2008, Nikki E. Owens, a junior at Bowie State University, received a Milton Pericles Darden III Memorial Scholarship from the Scott Lee Foundation during its First Annual Nicole Lynette Scott Lee Memorial Scholarship Awards Reception.
Dr. Conrad joined the Bowie State University team as a tenure track Assistant Professor in fall 2008. Dr. Conrad earned the Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, and Ph.D. in economics from Howard University in Washington, DC.
Bowie State’s doctoral program in educational leadership enabled Dr. Donna Shimoda Hollingshead explore how data-driven decisions can improve school performance—but she admits she was initially attracted to the program’s convenience.
