Job Fairs The Career Development Center sponsors a fall and spring job fair annually for students and alumni to interact with recruiters from a variety of fields. We also belong to the Maryland Career Consortium which also offers an annual job fair event.
Jobshadow.com Jobshadow.com is an online resource that allows students to get a snapshot of the day in the life of professionals in varied career fields. Students can read candid responses from professionals on varying topics to include how they started in their chosen professions, on the job challenges they encounter, salary, and how one can prepare to enter their specific career fields.

On-Campus Recruitment This program provides students an opportunity to meet with employers about internships, part-time jobs and career opportunities. We strongly encourae students to take advantage of these opportunities to meet with employer’s right here on the BSU campus. Students can connect with employers via the following means: On-Campus Interviews Employers from a variety of fields visit Bowie State's Career Development Center to conduct interviews for full-time jobs and internships. We maintain a nation-wide database of career opportunities and we refer resumes of registered jobseekers. To see what companies will be recruiting on campus and sign-up for an interview slot, visit Bulldogs4Hire. Information Tables Employers schedule days to come to campus to speak with students informally at tables. Most often these employer are hiring for part-time and full-time positions and internships or representing graduate school programs. Visits by these employers are advertised on our Calendar of Events as well as in the Bulldogs4Hire database and sometimes through targeted emails.
Information Sessions Employers pick days to visit the campus to facilitate information sessions. Students who attend these sessions gain first-hand knowledge of the career paths and job opportunities available at the company. It's also a great way to meet HR personnel, network with them and talk with them about your career goals and how their company could fit in with your goals.
