STUDENT MENTORING PROGRAM The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has created a Mentoring Program for Bowie State University students in the College of Business and the Department of Natural Sciences. The program is part of a broader EPA and BSU partnership to expand career and professional development opportunities for students. The Mentoring Program provides BSU students with valuable career advice. It also affords an opportunity for students to network with EPA professionals and participate in a job shadowing day and other career development workshops sponsored by EPA. Under the program, participating students will be matched for one-on-one mentoring primarily by telephone and email. Depending on the student’s particular mentoring needs and objectives, EPA mentors may be called on to share their knowledge and insight on career goals and job preparation, including providing feedback on the student’s resume and writing sample, or helping to arrange for an informational interview with a professional in the student’s chosen career field. If you are interested in taking advantage of this exciting mentoring opportunity, complete the “Student Mentee Profile Form” and submit your completed form via e-mail to epa_bsu_mentoringprogram@epa.gov. Please indicate in the email subject line: “Student Mentee Profile.” The Mentoring Program Guidelines provide additional information on participating in the Program.
