Wednesday, June 5th is our one-day Early Bird Testing and Registration Day - If you attend this program, you should also register for one of the 3-day Orientation programs listed above. Register here.

The New Student Orientation (NSO) Program

NSO is a three-day program where you will take your placement exams, receive academic advising, register for classes and participate in "Discover BSU" activities.

Once you have paid your $80 enrollment fee, you must select one of the orientation dates listed and register.

  • Placement Testing (301) 860-3295 - You will take placement tests in Reading, Writing and Math
  • Advising and Registration for Classes (301) 860-4072 - You will be advised and registered for classes by an Academic Advisor after Placement Testing
  • "Discover BSU" (301) 860-3833 - After you have selected and registered for an NSO session, go to www.bowiestate.edu/  for information regarding your 3-day stay at BSU
  • Immunization Records (301) 860-4177 - If you have not already done so, you must bring a copy of your health history forms/immunization records with you to orientation.
  • Financial Aid (301) 860-3540 - In you are interested in financial aid, you must complete the FAFSA form as soon as possible at http://www.fafsa.gov/.  Don't delay!
