SUMMER 2009

Dear New Student:

Congratulations on being accepted to Bowie State University for the Fall 2009 semester. The Bowie State University Staff looks forward to meeting you during the New Student Orientation (NSO).

This year's New Student Orientation Session will be an inclusive one including Placement Testing, Academic Advisement, and Class Registration for all new students.

NSO is designed to:

  • Encourage students to take full advantage of University programs and services.
  • Assist students in achieving maximum academic, personal and career development.
  • Familiarize students with University regulations and policies.
  • Provide the opportunity to meet with faculty, staff, and peer leaders.

NSO is committed to making the students' transition to Bowie State University as smooth as possible.

New Student Orientation 2009 will take place during the summer months.

  • Freshmen Student Orientation is a two-day overnight program.
  • Placement Testing, Academic Advisement, and Class Registration will occur on the first day of the NSO sessions.
