Bowie State University to Host 143^rd Spring Commencement
Maryland State Senator C. Anthony Muse, Keynote Speaker

WHAT:
Bowie State University (BSU) will celebrate  more than 800 graduates during its 143^rd spring commencement featuring Maryland State Senator C. Anthony Muse as the keynote speaker. Graduates will receive degrees in more than 50 academic programs administered by the University's Colleges of Business, Education, Arts and Sciences and Professional Studies.

WHO:
Senator Muse represents Maryland's 26^th legislative district and he serves as chair of the Prince George's County Senate Delegation.  He serves on the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee, Joint Committee on Children, Family and Youth, and Joint Committee on Healthcare Delivery and Finance. In 2007, he was appointed by the senate president to the National Conference of State Legislatures; and he serves on the Human Service and Welfare Committee, the Maryland Medicaid Advisory Committee and the Task Force to Study Group Homes Education and Placement. Muse is founder and senior pastor of Ark of Safety Christian Church. He is married to Pat Lawson Muse, a news anchor for NBC-4 TV in Washington, D.C.
