Bowie State University Hosts Annual Earth Day Event
Honoring 2011 Recyclemania Contest Winners

WHAT:

Bowie State University's annual Earth Day celebration will feature two dynamic guest speakers emphasizing the importance of sustainability on campus. The event will also announce and recognize the winners of the 2011 Recyclemania contest on campus.

Guest Speakers:

Felicia M. Davis, directs the UNCF Institute for Capacity Building Facilities and Infrastructure Enhancement Program where she oversees implementation of the 1.8 million dollar Kresge Foundation funded Building Green Initiative for Minority Serving Institutions.

 

Illai Kenney is a senior telecommunications management major at Howard University focusing on making her campus sustainable, including socially responsible investing, recycling, community development, and more. Ms. Kenney is currently an active member in The Green for All College Ambassador program which provides a focused vehicle to foster young, green-economy champions.
