Schedule Update-Residence Life Check-In

FIRST YEAR STUDENTS - All first year students should plan to arrive on campus Monday, August 29 between 10:00 a.m. and 12 noon. Staff will be in place to serve students who did not check in on Friday August 26, and to issue keys to those who checked in but did not remain on campus

RETURNING STUDENTS - All returning students should delay arrival until at least 1:00 p.m. on Monday August 29 to ensure a smoother check-in after first-year students have cleared the process. Several halls (Tubman, Haley and Towers) will be accommodating both first-year and returning students.

This schedule adjustment will help staff to better serve all students and ease long delays in the check-in process. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience that may occur.

The BSU homepage will provide status updates as conditions change. Information will also be available at 301-860-4000.

Students should update the contact information in the Bowie State Electronic Emergency System (BEES) at http://www.bowiestate.edu/BEES/ to receive text message notifications.

The decision to close campus/open late/close early applies only to the Bowie State University campus (14000 Jericho Park Road). Employees at other sites, i.e., Shady Grove, off-campus centers, etc., should follow the inclement weather notices at those sites.
