Bowie State University (BSU) chartered the new Prince George's County Drug Policy Coalition Chapter, an affiliate of the National African American Drug Policy Coalition (NAADPC). Comprised of 25 organizations, the coalition addresses the problem of drug abuse in the African American community with each member organization contributing distinct intellectual content, practices and procedures for eradicating the deleterious societal effects of drug abuse. The new chapter also will provide internship opportunities for Bowie State students majoring in nursing, psychology, social work and behavioral sciences and human services.
