Using the Blackboard Connect notification system, the university will soon begin sending voice, text and email messages about specific issues of concern related to you. Students who have entered a mobile phone number in Bulldog Connect will receive a welcome text message indicating that the system is active. Then stay tuned for specific messages about your personal: Enrollment status & course cancellations Financial aid & tuition reminders Important dates & deadlines All students who have supplied BSU with a cell phone number will receive an introductory message after signing up. Log into Bulldog Connection and visit the self-service section. BSU only uses the mobile cell phone number for voice and text messages. It takes about 3 business days for your information to be updated in Bb Connect.

How do I know BSU is calling from the Bb Connect system?

The caller-ID number for phone messages generated by Blackboard Connect is made from the main line, 301-860-4000. Additionally, every email will indicate it is coming from Bowie State University or a specific office at BSU.

All confirmation text messages will come from 23177 or 63079. Please save these numbers and program them into your phone as Bowie State University so you can quickly recognizee them as an official source of information.

Will Bowie State University or Blackboard Connect share my information with anyone?
