 Christina Davies has been with Bowie State University for 16 years. She began as the University's internal auditor. During this period, she conducted audits of University offices and processes, and coordinated external audits. In addition, she served as the University records manager.
In 2001, Ms. Davies accepted the position of controller, where she leads the excellent staff that comprises the Office of Student Accounts, General Accounting, Grants Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Payroll. Prior to coming to Bowie State University, Ms. Davies was an assistant legislative auditor with the Maryland Office of Legislative Audits. During this period, Ms. Davies served on audits of agencies throughout the state, including many of the institutions currently within the University System of Maryland. She served on teams conducting compliance and financial audits. Ms. Davies earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Bowie State University. She became a CPA in 1984.
