As Vice President for Administration and Finance, Dr. Brockenbrough oversees BSU’s Budget, Controller, Auxiliary Support Services, Procurement, Facilities, and Human Resources Departments.

Dr. Brockenbrough arrived at BSU in March 2007. His experience includes more than 30 years in the areas of accounting, auditing and management. Dr. Brockenbrough’s has worked in both public and private sector organizations. He has served as chief financial officer at Cheyney State University, Controller at Wilmington College, acting Controller and Senior Accountant at Lincoln University, Accounting Manager for the Philadelphia Orchestra Association, Auditor for the Controller’s Office of the City of Philadelphia, and several oil and gas companies in Houston, Texas. 

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Norfolk State University, a master of business administration from the Pennsylvania State University and a doctorate of education at Wilmington College. Dr. Brockenbrough has completed the Management Development Program at Harvard University and participated in the Oxford Round Table in Oxford, England.

Dr. Brockenbrough is a certified public accountant in Pennsylvania. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of Black Accountants, National Association of College and University Business Officers, and the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers.

He previously served on the Board of Directors for the Forum for the Advancement of Minorities in Engineering (FAME), Harvard Institutes for Higher Education Leadership Development Initiative Advisory Board, and the School Board for the Christiania School District in Delaware. Dr. Brockenbrough was the recipient of the Education Award by the Newark, Delaware Branch of the NAACP in 2003.
