The Office of Student Accounts is committed to timely processing of student refunds. In order to receive your refund timely, please ensure with the University Registrar’s Office that your home address is correct. You can contact the Registrar’s Office at 301-860-3730. Bowie State University is a State of Maryland agency and refund checks are sent from the State of Maryland’s Treasurer’s Office. Please allow 10-20 business days from the day that your refund was processed in the Office of Student Accounts.
The State Treasurer’s Office offers you an opportunity to direct deposit your refund and check the status of your refund. To setup direct deposit by electronic funds transfer, please complete form gadX-10, the EFT registration form at: http://compnet.comp.state.md.us/General_Accounting_Division/Static_Files/APM/gadx-10.pdf. For complete accuracy, please note that your first and last name is required as the business identification information. This service is only available to students who have received one refund from the University. The State Treasurer Office only recognizes students/vendors who have received a paper check. It is your responsibility to maintain bank account and address information with either Payroll or General Accounting Division direct deposits.
