"Strings Dream" Screening - Youth Violence Prevention Film

"String’s Dream" is a 45-minute film about an urban youth’s dream to become a classical musician and his struggles with bullies. Sponsored by the United Way of the National Capital Area, the movie is used to spark discussions with young people about youth violence prevention.

A panel discussion on the youth violence will immediately follow the film screening. Light refreshments will be available afterwards.

The event is hosted by the College of Education and the student group, Lady STARS, (Ladies United for Sisterhood, True Diversity, Academics, Respect, and Strength) the official Interest Group of Lambda Phi Xi Multicultural Sorority Inc.
