Bowie State Homecoming Welcomes Alumni, Community

(Bowie, Md.) – Bowie State University welcomes alumni and the community to the 2012 Homecoming game when the Bulldogs face off against Virginia State University at Bulldog Stadium Saturday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. Alumni and friends can reconnect during the entire week of Homecoming from Oct. 7-14, celebrating the Bulldog Nation Experience.

Saturday’s festivities kick off at 9 a.m. with a community parade that features area high school bands and BSU student groups, starting at Ruby Tuesday’s in Bowie and ending at Bowie Town Center. Tailgating set-up starts at 9 a.m. at Bulldog Stadium. Premium tailgating plots can be reserved in advance for $15 each. 

The Homecoming concert features hip-hop artists 2 Chainz and French Montana, along with Washington, D.C.-based go-go band Rare Essence, Thursday, Oct. 11 from 6-10:30 p.m. at Bowie BaySox Stadium. Tickets are $25 for BSU students and $35 for the general public. 

Grammy-nominated R&B artist Eric Roberson will headline the free Yard Fest, hosted by radio station and sponsor, WKYS, Wednesday, Oct. 9 from 5-9 p.m. at BSU’s Holmes Quad.
