(Bowie, Md.) - Oct. 31, 2013 - Do you have what it takes to represent Bowie State University in the national Honda Campus All-Star Challenge quiz game?
Test your knowledge of business, literature, history, sports, pop culture, and current events in the campus tournament on Friday, Nov. 1 at 3 p.m. in the Student Center, Ballroom A and compete for a spot on the BSU team. Students must register in advance as a three-person team or as individuals with HCASC-BSU coordinator Debbie McClure.
The national competition is a fast-paced question-and-answer game that matches teams of students from historically Black colleges and universities to compete in four rounds of play.
For the BSU tournament, at least eight teams will compete in single elimination rounds. The winning team will advance to the national tournament scheduled April 12-16, 2014 in Los Angeles, Calif. Students competing in the BSU competition can work with team coaches Robert Batten and Dr. Monika Gross to become familiar with the format and style of questions.
Last year, the BSU team competed in a division that included Clark Atlanta University and North Carolina A&T. Chynna Keys was selected as a 2013 All-Star Player for answering the most questions correctly in that division.
