Department heads are responsible to the University for maintaining and safeguarding all University property entrusted to their care. Property items are inventoried centrally for each department.
Departments are required to assist and accompany Property Control in taking a thorough and complete inventory of all property and equipment in their possession. Departments will be notified in advance when inventory will be taken.
All assets are owned by the University and assigned to a specific office in which the asset is physically located. Property Control will report their findings (inaccuracies) to the respective vice president and/or dean for appropriate resolution.
