Cubie A. Bragg, Ph.D., DAC, NCC., LICSW, LCPC is a licensed counselor and psychotherapist. He holds a Ph. D. in clinical psychology, and he is a full-time faculty member in the Department of Counseling at Bowie State University. He is also Director of the Adler-Dreikurs Institute of Human Services and coordinator of the Adlerian Counseling Psychology Program at Bowie State University. He is an internationally known lecturer, and a national doctoral addiction counselor and therapist. He is certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc., and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the District of Columbia. He serves as a reviewer for several national journals and is the recipient of numerous awards for his outstanding work with youth and child care workers. Dr. Bragg is Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Bragg Training Consultants and President of The family Education Center of Metropolitan Washington. He has published independently, with peers and graduate students.
Will Nathan is currently serving as the 2013-2014 President of the Bowie State University Graduate Student Association. He is from Brooklyn, New York. Will successfully completed his undergraduate studies at The University of the District of Columbia, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. While at UDC, Will served in a number of leadership roles and organizations. Currently, Will is a second year Masters student in the Department of Professional Studies. He is a member of Golden Key National Honor Society. Will also serves as the President of a Kiwanis Club in NW Washington, DC, an organization that focuses on helping youth find their identity and life purpose.
McKenzie Fowler is currently serving as the 2013-2014 First Vice President of the Bowie State University Graduate Student Association.
McKenzie was born in Pennsylvania but has lived in Bowie, Maryland since the age of 4. She received her undergraduate degree in French Language Arts with a minor in Psychology from the University of Virginia. While attending UVA, McKenzie served as the Pre-med Committee Chair for the Peer Advisor Program and the Historian for University Dance Club. She is currently perusing her Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling and works as a graduate assistant in the counseling department.
Fortune Bannister III serves as the 2nd Vice President of the Graduate Student Association at Bowie State University.
He is from Eutawville, South Carolina and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. Fortune is currently pursuing a Masters of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology at Bowie State University. His responsible for attending University Council meetings the first Vice-President is unable to attend, maintain and update the GSA calendar, head all off-campus events/activities and much more. Prior to serving as the 2nd Vice President, Fortune served as a liaison for the graduate students, ticket adjunction, and the food service advisory committee.
Olanrewaju Olukunle Serves as the Financial Secretary of the Graduate Student Association at Bowie State University.
He is from Oyo, Nigeria and received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Covenant University, Ogun , Nigeria. Lanre is currently pursuing a Masters of Science degree in Management Information System (Information Assurance) at Bowie State University. He currently works in the Division of Information Technology in Bowie state University. Lanre is a member of Golden Key National Honor Society and also a member of the National Society of Black Engineers. He loves working with people and making sure he creates a positive impact in young lives. He looks forward to making great impact in the GSA 2013-2014 academic Year.
DeJuan Patterson is currently serving as the 2013-2014 Secretary of the Bowie State University Graduate Student Association. Hailing from Baltimore, Maryland. DeJuan successfully completed his undergraduate studies at Bowie State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology. While at BSU, DeJuan served in a number of leadership and advocacy roles. Currently, Mr. Patterson is a second year Masters student in the Department of Public Administration. He is a graduate assistant for the Department of Management, Marketing and Public Administration. When he is not operating non-profit youth programs for underserved Baltimore youth, he serves as an advisor to BSU Student Advisory Council and an undergraduate fraternity chapter. DeJuan live by the motto "A man puts more in the world then he takes out."
Natasha Lee is currently serving as the 2013-2014 Member-at -Large/Parliamentarian of the Bowie State University Graduate Student Association. Natasha hails from Garysburg, North Carolina. Natasha successfully completed her undergraduate studies at North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina. Currently, she is a candidate for the Master of Education Program in School Counseling. Natasha is employed with Prince George's County Public School System where she serves as a Student Accountability coordinator. In this role she advocates for students and collaborates with educators, parents, and the community in efforts for student achievement. Natasha loves working in any capacity where she can make a difference and looks forward to working with all GSA members for the 2013-2014 academic year.
