MSTA @ BSU: The Education Club

The Maryland State Teachers Association (MSTA) is a 60,000-member Maryland affiliate of the National Education Association (NEA). NEA represents over 2.7 million public education teachers, support professionals, retired educators, school administrators, higher education faculty, and future educators. The MSTA Education Club at Bowie State University, open to education and non-education majors alike, offers students interested in education the opportunity to establish relationships with other students in the field. This club is active in sponsoring programs which focus on a variety of contemporary issues in education.

The Education Club meets every Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Center for Learning and Technology Room 273. Annual dues are $31, which includes membership in MSTA as a student member and access to members-only content on the MSTA website.

The MSTA Education Club is collecting new children's and young adult books for Glenarden Woods Elementary School and theChildren's National Medical Center. The deadline for contributing books is Dec. 10. Please leave age-appropriate (PreK-12) books with Ms. Connie Deas, administrative assistant for the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Professional Development, in CLT 233T.
