If you are pursuing an MBA, there are a few things we know about you without actually having had the pleasure of meeting you. We know that you're ambitious. We know that you're at the top of your game academically. We know that you take your work seriously. And we know that you've committed to investing in your future.
You probably know about us, too – who we are, what we do, and how important a summer internship can be for your future. Chances are you also know people who have participated in our summer program and who will subsequently be joining us full-time. They've already told you that their summer of hands-on experience at J.P. Morgan drove their decision to join our firm, and you probably know that we fill most of our full-time positions from our pool of Summer Associates.
There's no better place to spend a summer internship than at J.P. Morgan. We'll take the skills and theory you've learned from your MBA and transfer them to the real world. You'll enjoy real responsibilities from day one and will work with many of the finest people in the industry, which is exactly what we expect you to become in the not too distant future.
Of course, any decision about your future won't just depend on how well you take to the many work challenges you'll face. As much as anything else, it will be defined by how well you like us as people. Over the course of your internship, you'll experience many social events, and have every opportunity to develop a network of new friends and future colleagues – as well as t make yourself known to senior management.
We see our Summer Associates as the future of our firm, so we take their recruiting seriously. If we visit your campus, take the opportunity to learn about our business, our internship programs, our culture and our people in person. If you believe there's a fit and are serious about becoming a Summer Associate, visit our How to Apply section for more details.
For those schools we visit, interviews take place on campus in January and early February, with J.P. Morgan representatives from the area you're interested in joining. Additional interviews follow quickly thereafter. (Depending on your school's policy and business area, it may even be later on the same day).
If you're a fit, we'll make you an offer and work closely to place you in a group that aligns with your interests and skills. You will meet with bankers from the groups in which you have expressed interest and will hear about placement within specific group(s) within two weeks.
