Third Annual  Food Day Symposium, October 24, 2013

The Third Annual Food Day Symposium, “The role of Nutrition and Diet on Human Health, a Global perspective and the double burden of Over and Under Nutrition” will be held on October 24, 2013, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., on the campus of Bowie State University at Student Center Ball room.  Food Day is a nationwide celebration and a movement for healthy, affordable and sustainable food.

Program Highlights include:

  1. Discussion of Diet-related Diseases such as Obesity;
  2. A Special Examination of Prince George’s County’s Food System
  3. Hunger and Malnutrition at Home and Abroad: A Global Perspective
  4. Healthy Cooking Demonstration on Live TV
  5. Access to Healthy Food in Prince George’s County and International Kitchen: Poster Presentations by BSU Students

We therefore invite you to join us in this all day celebration.


Registration Deadline:  October 23, 2013 at 5 p.m.
