All freshman are required to take Placement Tests in math, reading comprehension and writing/essay.
Please arrive no later than 7:45 a.m. to Room # 077, Thurgood Marshall Library — adjacent to the Henry Administration Building
Bring a photo ID , your BSU Student ID number and two No. 2 pencils.
Academic Orientation will begin around 10:30 a.m., when students complete placement exams.
Academic orientation, advising and class registration will take approximately 2 hours. If you plan to major in Computer Science and Social Work you will be directed to your departments.
Discover BSU orientation activities will follow class registration.
You should expect to complete all of your orientation activities by 3:00 p.m.
If you have not completed college level English and math, you will need to take the BSU Placement Test. Please report to Room# 077 Thurgood Marshall Library by 7:45 a.m. with a photo ID , your BSU Student ID number and two No. 2 pencils.
If you have completed college-level English and math at your previous college, you do not need placement tests, and should arrive by 9:00 a.m. to Room# 077 Thurgood Marshall Library.
Academic Orientation will begin around 9:00 a.m. and will take a minimum of 2 hours. If you are transferring more than 60 credits, your advising will be completed in the academic departments.If your major is Nursing, Computer Science, Social Work or English, your advising will also be completed in the academic departments. All other majors will be advised in the Academic Advising Center, Suite #082 Library.
Discover BSU orientation activities will follow class registration. You should expect to complete all of your activities by 3:00 p.m.
