Ms. Dawn Johnson-Tate
NCATE Coordinator

       Dawn Johnson-Tate is the NCATE Coordinator for the College of Education. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Information Technology from University of Baltimore, a Master of Science in Human Resource Management and a MBA from University of Maryland University College, a Master of Arts in Middle School Mathematics from Kaplan University, and a Post Master’s Certificate in College Teaching from Capella University. Currently Professor Johnson-Tate is a doctorial candidate in the organization and management program with an emphasis on management education at Capella University.

        Prior to Bowie, Ms. Johnson-Tate worked for over 17 years in public and private colleges teaching courses in networking, computer technology, mathematics, and student success in addition to managing the education department. During the years of service in the public and private colleges, Dawn Johnson-Tate has developed and implemented a number of faculty and staff training and development programs. The training programs included topics on improving content delivery, interactive classroom, and skills needed to teach in a technology based program.
