Dr. Juanita Ashby Bey, is currently serving as the Director of Assessment in the College of Education at Bowie State University. She has also worked as an Assistant Professor at Coppin State University, where she served as Coordinator of Elementary Education and Assessment Coordinator. Dr. Ashby Bey was also an Assistant Professor at Fayetteville State University. She has many years of teaching experience and has worked very closely with training teachers, supervising student teachers, and teaching education methods courses; however, she also has extensive knowledge in educational technology and Reading First Initiative for teaching reading instruction. Dr. Ashby Bey earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Coppin State University in 2000, where she was a McNair Scholar. She earned a Master of Science Degree in Educational Technology from Johns Hopkins University in 2002 and a Doctoral Degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in Education from the Language, Literacy, and Culture Program in 2007. |
