Successful professionals understand that such learning is a career-long process that is needed to remain progressive and competitive in the workplace. The College of Professional Studies (CPS) offers academic programs that prepare students for the unique demands of the rapidly growing and diverse global labor market. Please take a moment to peruse the departments and majors within the college. The college offers both undergraduate and graduate courses of study.

The College of Professional Studies is quite diverse in its offerings and provides an outstanding educational opportunity for students. The departments within the college integrate liberal arts and sciences with theory and application specific to each professional discipline. This learning process is achieved through classroom study, online and web-enhanced courses, field placements, internships, and clinical practice and practicum.

Drawing on a rich faculty with expertise in their respective disciplines, the college is comprised of four academic departments. These departments are: Behavioral Sciences and Human Services, Nursing, Psychology, and Social Work. Because the college places a strong emphasis on both academic and practical experiences, it is attractive to students who are new to a professional academic field of study, continuing students searching for a career-oriented education path, or professionals desiring to advance their knowledge and skills. The departments provide well-rounded and customized programs to prepare students for employment and graduate studies.

Our graduates obtain jobs in their fields and are highly sought for admissions to graduate schools of their choice. Graduates from the College of Professional Studies enjoy careers in diverse settings such as health care, mental health, child welfare, family services, education, human services administration, recreational leadership and management, law enforcement, human resources, social research, and community and social planning, just to name a few.
