Dr. Adrian Krishnasamy is honored to be a part of the Bowie State University family. He earned his doctorate in communication and culture with an emphasis on intercultural and organizational communication at Howard University. A native of Singapore, Dr. Krishnasamy has been in the United States since he was 16 years old. For a short period, he went back to Singapore to perform military service. He returned in 2000 to finish his master's in communication at the University of Central Missouri. At the same university, he also received his Bachelor of Science degree in public relations. Dr. Krishnasamy continues his research of how media affects certain communities. His main focus is on issues regarding race, class, gender, and feminist research in communication. He has taught courses in interpersonal communication, the role of mass media and society, public speaking, and intercultural communication. He has high expectations for his students and believes that success is not a limitation.
