Bow Wow is new host of ‘106 and Park’

Most of us remember the original days of 106 and Park with Free and Aj as hosts. We may have watched a few episodes when 106 transitioned to hosts Rocsi and Terrence J but would you watch with Bow Wow as host? The former Mr. 106 and Park will now host the show he used to frequent back in the day. Are we all getting old or does BET just have a high turnover rate? No wonder Boondocks creator Aaron McGruder refers to it as “Black Evil Television”. I’ll give BET their props if Bow Wow isn’t replaced by someone else in a few years but for now I’ll stick to Pandora for the hottest music. 

Nicki Minaj for Romney? 

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve heard about Nicki’s controversial line on Lil Wayne’s Dedication 4 mixtape. She raps, “I’m a Republican. I’m voting for Mitt Romney. You lazy [expletive] is [expletive] up the economy.” I assumed the lyric was purely for shock value but who really knows. The “Beez in the Trap” artist quickly retracted her impromptu Romney endorsement on Twitter after various death threats and media frenzy.  Oh Nicki, just stick to wearing plastic fried chicken necklaces and leave the politics to “the people.” 

Kanye and Kim “cool off”? 

According to multiple media outlets, things appear to be dying down between “Kimye.” Like Beyonce, I was never head over heels about this couple anyway. If they really are cooling off, I’m not surprised. How does that differ from any Kardashian relationship? And don’t get me started on Kanye, he too, doesn’t seem to be able to put his eggs in one basket. The day this publicity scheme ends couldn’t come soon enough. Maybe we can finally live in a world where Kim ceases to ruin the lives of every perfectly dateable athlete and music mogul and Mr. “Ima let you finish but…” will actually “finish” a relationship (you know, marriage, kids, all that good stuff) and not bring young country stars to tears in the process.
