Very Versace

By Alexis Drakeford

Fall weather is here and it isn’t going to get any warmer anytime soon.  October came and went with November here.  A new month ultimately means new high-end collaboration.  I’m just going to cut right to the chase and not leave you agonizing and trying to skim through my words to find out what designer is where.  The Very Best of Versace for H&M will be in a store near you!  Yes you read that right.  VERSACE!

For those of you who don’t know who Versace is or what it stands for…it’s time for you to get from under your rock and keep reading.  Versace is one of the world’s leading international fashion brands and is a symbol of Italian style worldwide.  The brand always epitomizes glamour with over-the-top sexiness.  It’s a household name with many celebrity fans.

The power house brand will be available in 300 H&M stores all over the world.  It will be launched in select countries on November 17 and in the United States on November 19.  This is the first designer collection that will also feature home products.  The collection will include 90 pieces with prices ranging from $19.95 for costume jewelry to $299 for a studded leather jacket and studded dress, and pillows from $29.95 to $39.95, with most prices falling between $150 and $200.  The pieces include a fitted leather biker jacket with the studded border of the Very Versace Grecian print ($299), the studded leather dress ($299) Donatella wore herself earlier this year on a runway in Milan, printed mini skirts and scarves.

So for those of you planning on waiting in long lines or throwing a few elbows for these coveted pieces, here’s what you’re going to have to do.  The first 280 people in line will receive one of 14 different colored bracelets, 20 people for each bracelet color.  On the bracelet you will be given a specific time for shopping in the designated area.  The bracelets are only needed for the women’s collection.  Once your time slot arrives, you will be given 15 minutes to shop.  Once the 14 groups are finished, then the women’s collection will be opened to all customers.  There is a maximum of 2 pieces per product.

Versace is an exclusive designer with a high demand.  Will your closet be Very Versace this season?
