Dear Obama, African drums roar like lions in jungle, African king of United States RISE In the land of free, for land of the brave, where dreams of a Black president come true. As you take your rightful position in, the mission has brought forth a new vision. Black descendants of Kings and Queens soar like, the shooting stars they only seen from afar. Though many peer into a pitch black sky, they don't pray to Blue-eyed White Jesus, they look to you like a Black super hero. Brothas and sistas, stand on their feet. The Ballot or the Bullet, polls in droves Black unity on November 4th ‘cause visions of Black president in White house mean change we can see, touch , hear, smell and taste. African drums roll, thunder and lightning, the crowning of you, Barack Obama. You are change we can believe in, yes, yes We can! Be all our ancestors' foreseen. By: Jennifer-Tiara Ward 10/31/2008 |
