A ceremony was held at 7:00 pm on Friday, December 4th, 2009. This prestigious ceremony is a special engagement that honors biological students who have shown superb academic achievement in the extremely challenging field of biology. This rewarding ceremony not only gives recognition to students for their excellence and achievement, but also aids in educational and professional advancement.

 Bowie State University's Gamma Lambda Chapter of Phi Sigma Biological Honor Society is one of 89 chapters devoted to the promotion of undergraduate and graduate student research and academic excellence in the biological sciences.  Our current membership is composed of senior and junior undergraduate students who have demonstrated superior academic performance in the field of biology.
