Lady Bulldogs Bowling Team Vies for Another Winning SeasonBy Quentin Deon Wright The Lady Bulldogs Bowling Team has competed in two CIAA tournaments and four NCAA invitational tournaments. The Lady Bulldogs Bowling Team is ranked ninth out of 19 teams, which includes top-ranked competition from NCAA/MEAC teams in the country. The 2005-2006 Champions will be looking to make a big impact for Bowie State University in 2010. The Lady Bulldogs currently rank second in the overall Eastern Division ranking and third overall for the CIAA rankings. Verra Diggs leads the Lady Bulldogs with a 182.8 average, ranking third overall along with a strong supporting cast from Tycora Brown and Dominique Carroll. In action Feb. 5-7, Fayetteville State finished the weekend-long CIAA Bowling Roundup in first place with both the best record and most total pins. Bowie State finished second in the 12-team field which competed at the AMF Capital Lanes. Over the three days, FSU finished with a 16-2 record and 14,909 pins. Bowie State finished in second with a 15-3 record, and Elizabeth City State was third, finishing 14-4. Shaw finished in seventh with a 7-11 record. |

Professor Tewodross "Tee" is an associate professor for the Department of Fine and Performing Arts at Bowie State. He holds a bachelor's degree in art/photographic media from Morgan State and a master's of fine arts degree in imaging and digital arts from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. 
My experience has been extremely rewarding. I have made everlasting relationships with people and my teachers, coaches and other administrators are just wonderful.
