THE NEW VCDMA PROGRAM & THE NEW CENTER FOR FINE & PERFORMING ARTS
The new BS degree and program in VCDMA officially launched the new BS major in 2011, and in conjunction with the opening of the new Fine and Performing Arts Center! The new VCDMA now offers (5) five new concentrations in Advertising Design, Digital Media Arts, Animation & Motion Graphics, * Digital Cinema & Time-Based Media and * Fashion Design. After the enormous demand following the lecture and workshops of Carmen Webber (Sistahs of Harlem and Project Runway, 4th Season) the VCDMA is on its way to developing a concentration in fashion and textile design. The VCDMA is offering its first course in fashion design titled, ART 270 Introduction to Fashion Design
 Hip Hop studies comes to Bowie State University! THE DFPA is now offerig an exciting new course on hip hop, contemporary art, design and cultural studies, ART 408 Visual Culture.
