 Dr. Mills is Professor of Philosophy. He has published articles on the philosophy of mind, workforce development, metaphysics, artificial intelligence, public policy, ethics, Descartes, Spinoza, Sartre, and on the Salvadoran American writer, Mario Bencastro. He has also published book (Kendall Hunt) on the introduction to philosophy (the second edition contains biographical essays by historian George Sochan). He teaches introduction to philosophy; principles of reasoning; business ethics; philosophies of human nature; and philosophy of mind. Dr. Mills is the Editor of Humanities and Technology Review, an interdisciplinary peer reviewed journal that explores the interface between the humanities and technology. He is a founding member of the Association for Educational Development in El Salvador (a non-profit organization); a member of the executive board of the Humanities and Technology Association; and a member of the American Philosophical Association. He is the President of the BSU-AAUP chapter. Dr. Mills' previous employment includes positions as director of operations for the Montgomery County Private Industry Council, director of employment and training programs for the Latin American Youth Center, and legislative assistant for former Congressman Bill Richardson. Dr. Mills enjoys hiking, biking, poetry, spoken word and being in the present moment.
