The Bachelor of Science in technology program is designed for community college graduates of two-year applied sciences career programs. Students will be granted a maximum of 60 semester hours for the associate degree and will be required to complete a minimum of 60 semester hours at Bowie State University to qualify for the bachelor's degree. Additional courses may be required to satisfy the University general education requirements. On admission to the program, students will develop a degree completion plan in consultation with their advisors, selecting 20 courses that will meet their educational and career objectives. - Students who have taken any of the courses listed above as business technology general degree requirements as part of the associate degree program will not be required to repeat the course. The student's BS degree program in technology will compromise general degree requirements and upper-level business and technology-focused courses. A total of 60 credits must be taken at Bowie State University to complete the baccalaureate degree program.
- Students must have two science courses (one with a laboratory experience) to meet bachelor's degree requirements. Science courses taken as part of the associate degree program will meet this requirement. Bowie State University will offer science courses to fulfill the general requirements for those students who did not meet this requirement as part of the associate degree program.
- Students must have a college algebra course equivalent to Bowie State University's MATH 125 to meet bachelor's degree requirements. An equivalent mathematics course taken as part of the associate degree program will fulfill this requirement.
- ENGL 101 and 102 are prerequisites for the program and must be taken prior to admission to the program.
- Students must take the English Proficiency Examination at Bowie State University during the first semester, if ENGL 101 and 102 have been successfully completed.
