Chair's Corner

Dear Nursing students,

I would like to talk to you about an issue of importance to the Department of Nursing, the student evaluation of nursing courses. Toward the end of each semester, you are asked to complete semester surveys regarding the faculty, the courses, and the University’s resources. The request for student input in evaluation is a mandate by the Maryland Board of Nursing and other accrediting agencies. I am asking that each student take this request seriously and provide honest and constructive feedback that can be used to evaluate our program performance.

As a nursing student or nurse, the obligation to provide accurate, truthful information is critical and essential for the department to ensure you receive the best possible educational experience. Therefore, I ask that you take time to give thought to your response and that your response represents the reality that you understand.
