| KAPPA DELTA PI BOWIE STATE UNIVERSITY - XI BETA CHAPTER Teacher education majors with a cumulative 3.2 grade point average may apply for membership into Kappa Delta Pi, the honor society for educators. The purpose of this society is to encourage high academic excellence in teacher education. Founded in 1904, Kappa Delta Pi is committed to recognizing excellence and fostering mutual cooperation, support, and professional growth for educational professionals. |
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS If you meet the following eligibility requirements, you may become a member of Kappa Delta Pi by joining the Bowie State University chapter: - Intent to continue in the field of education
- Leadership attributes
- For undergraduates, a final-term sophomore standing, a GPA of 3.2 out of 4.0 (or its equivalent), and at least 12 semester hours (or its equivalent) in education courses completed, in progress, or programmed.
- For graduate students, regular admission status in an accredited institution, six or more semester hours (or its equivalent) in that institution, at least 12 semester hours (or its equivalent) of education courses, and a graduate-level GPA of at least 3.25 out of 4.0.
