        Dr. Linda Boyd is the Director of Field Placement for the School of Education.  Dr. Boyd is a native of Annapolis , Maryland and has worked as an elementary/middle school teacher, an army education counselor, a math resources teacher, and administrative trainee, an assistant principal and a principal.  She has held positions in Anne Arundel County and Carroll County Public Schools. 

        Dr. Boyd has also served as an early childhood coordinator, a director of school improvement and a regional director.  In 2000, she was began working at the Maryland State Department of Education in the Office of Schools Under Local Reconstitution and Leadership Development.  Dr. Boyd is the chairperson of the Sojourner-Douglass College Advisory Board and a volunteer docent for the Governor's House.
