The BSU Institutional Review Board (IRB) review proposals submitted by students, faculty and external researchers. The result of the review is sent to the applicants by the Chair or co-Chair. When a proposal is received by the Chair of IRB, such application is processed and sent to the co-Chair who distributes same to three different board members for review. A two-third approval is required to approve an application. An application is rejected when two out of the three board members rejects it. This method of review does not call for physical meeting time. Applications should be received within the specific due date to be reviewed.
