The Office of Media Operations (OMO) provides audiovisual assistance in the planning and implementation of special events occurring at Bowie State University. Please contact Chartez Bond at 301-860-3900 during the beginning of the planning stages of the event to ensure that appropriate OMO staffing and services can be made available in a timely fashion. OMO must be contacted to reserve equipment once the space request form has been finalized and approved. OMO is not responsible for providing podiums or laptops for special events. Requests for LCD projectors are for on-campus and educational purposes only.

In October 2008, Nikki E. Owens, a junior at Bowie State University, received a Milton Pericles Darden III Memorial Scholarship from the Scott Lee Foundation during its First Annual Nicole Lynette Scott Lee Memorial Scholarship Awards Reception. 
Dr. Sunando Sengupta has always been passionate about teaching and trying to enhance the learning experience through the use of technological aides. His love for teaching brought him to Bowie State University where he has been teaching since fall 2005. 
Kendra Simmons, who graduated with honors and a bachelor of science degree in computer technology from Bowie State University in 2004, has joined the prestigious consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton.
