The Office of Media Operations (OMO) technical support personnel provide training and assistance in utilization of instructional technology equipment located in classrooms and lecture halls. Requests for training and/or assistance should be made to the OMO engineer, David Fisher at 301-860-3900 at least 24 hours in advance. Large group training must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. Faculty, staff, and students can receive an emailed tutorial on smart classroom technology for the Computer Science Building, Center for Business and Graduate Studies, and Center for Learning and Technology upon request.

In October 2008, Nikki E. Owens, a junior at Bowie State University, received a Milton Pericles Darden III Memorial Scholarship from the Scott Lee Foundation during its First Annual Nicole Lynette Scott Lee Memorial Scholarship Awards Reception. 
Dr. Azene Zenebe joined the College of Business (COB) at Bowie State University in fall 2005 and currently serves as associate professor of Management Information Systems (MIS).
