BSU Merit Scholarship - Undergraduate

Deadline: July 15, 2015

The BSU Merit Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate returning students and incoming freshman who have excelled academically and achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. To be considered for the scholarship applicants must be a full-time student (at least 12 credits), complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and meet the required GPA. Each student will be evaluated and awarded based on the availability of funds and overall performance. Students will be notified of the decision through their Bowie State University email. This scholarship is not renewable.


BSU Merit Scholarship - Graduate

Deadline: July 15, 2015

The BSU Merit Scholarship is awarded to graduate students who have excelled academically and achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.75. To be considered for the scholarship applicants must be full-time student (9-Credits), complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and meet the required GPA. Each student will be evaluated and awarded based on the availability of funds and overall performance. Students will be notified of the decision through their Bowie State email. This Scholarship is not renewable.


BSU Merit Scholarship - Transfer

Deadline: July 31, 2015

The BSU Transfer Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate returning students and incoming freshman who have excelled academically and achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better. To be considered for the scholarship applicants must be a full-time student (at least 12 credits), complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and meet the required GPA. Each student will be evaluated and awarded based on the availability of funds and overall performance. Students will be notified of the decision through their Bowie State University email. This scholarship is not renewable.


Maryland Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) Degree Scholarship

Deadline: July 31, 2015

The AAT Degree Scholarship program is designed to assist students who transfer from the AAT program from the community college level. The scholarship is to assist with tuition costs after the student has transferred/admitted to Bowie State University and has been identified as an AAT student through the Office of Admissions.

Successful completion of the program requires a cumulative 3.0 GPA and qualifying scores as established by the State Superintendent of Schools on the teacher certification tests (e.g., SAT, ACT, PRAXIS) approved by the State Board of Education to be awarded the AAT degree.
