Bulldog Academy

Get on Track for Success With Bulldog Academy
June 28-August 7, 2015

Did you know you could finish two college classes before your freshman year even begins? It’s true. Every summer, we open our doors to a special group of students who, like you, want to get a jumpstart on their college experience through Bulldog Academy.

Enrolling in the program allows you to live on campus, earn college credits and complete English and math classes. You can take credit-bearing or developmental courses. Developmental courses do not count toward your degree, but they will get you ready for your college-level courses in the fall.

The best part is that Bowie State University will pay for your tuition for the two courses, plus your textbooks!

The only cost you’ll be responsible for is the program fee:

  • In-state students: $850 (covers room and board)
  • Out-of-state students: $2,850 (covers room, board, and some tuition)

To pay your fee, call Student Accounts at 301-860-3495 or pay on site.

In order to move into the residence hall, all fees must be paid by 4 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2015.

Pack your bags and get ready to:

  • Take your placement tests
  • Attend New Student Orientation (NSO)*
  • Talk with your academic advisor
  • Participate in an end-of-program celebration trip

For additional information, contact Dr. Freddie T. Vaughns at or 301-860-3460.

*Remember, if you participate in the Bulldog Academy, you do not have to sign up for NSO or the placement tests.
