Darrell Brooks, head coach of the men’s basketball team, was named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Coach of the Week after leading the Bulldogs to a 3-1 record last week. Under his guidance, the Bulldogs beat Concordia (N.Y.) 81-61 at home, lost to West Chester in a 109-97 away game, and bounced back with road wins against Virginia-Lynchburg (95-82) and Bluefield (71-66).

Dr. Frederick Mills, professor of philosophy, published an opinion piece in the Eurasia Review that analyzes U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry’s recent speech before the Organization of American States and whether it represented a significant shift in U.S. policy toward Latin America. Dr. Mills is a senior research fellow at the Council on Hemispheric Affairs.
