A Bowie State University student with high academic and leadership achievements was named one of 75 Historically Black College and University All-Stars to serve as an ambassador for the White House Initiative on HBCUs.
In honor of Black History Month, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African Art has partnered with the Department of Fine and Performing Arts to host master artist workshops on the art of batik, the intricate process of decorating cloth with wax and dye.
Dr. Tibor Solymosi, a lecturer of philosophy, published three journal articles about the mutual benefits of cognitive neuroscience and pragmatism in fall 2013 in Contemporary Pragmatism, Human Affairs, and Intellectica. He also co-edited two anthologies on cognitive neuroscience and American philosophy, set to be published in 2014.
