A two-time alumnus of Bowie State University and president of the BSU National Alumni Association will share his experience working for more than 30 years in education at the 149th Founder’s Day, celebrating the university’s rich legacy of making education accessible.

Dr. David Reed, assistant professor of 19th century United States history and social studies education, explored the evolution of Pan-African activist Rayford Logan during the immediate aftermath of World War I in an article published in the Journal of Pan African Studies.
Davine Snead, development specialist, was named Coordinator of the Year by the Maryland Charity Campaign for her outstanding work in organizing the 2013 giving campaign for faculty and staff. Because of her commitment, Bowie State surpassed its goal of $12,000 and increased participation rate to 21 percent.
