Commuter Affairs

Located in the Student Center, the Office of Commuter Affairs and Special Programs supports and advocates for Bowie State University's diverse commuter student population.  The office serves as a resource center for students interested in commuter student involvement on campus, off campus housing information, leadership opportunities, roommate information, transportation and parking information and updates and much more. We also offer opportunities to engage commuter students in co-curricular activites to enhance the overall college experience and connect commuters to campus.

We realize that commuter students often have varying needs and face unique challenges.  Our vision is to create a voice, representation and presence for commuter students by informing and educating the campus community on these needs and challenges.  Our mission is to increase commuter student involvement, address commuter issues and concerns and bridge the communication gap between on and off campus students.

Commuter students are encourged to visit our office in Student Center, Room 3008H to learn more about getting involved on campus and the additional services that we offer.
