Co-Op and Internship Students

By enrolling in the Experiential Leaning Program this semester, you have elected to position yourself to be marketable to employers!  Whether you have registered for the Cooperative Education course or the Internship (Interdisciplinary) course, you are well on your way to gaining the experience that employers want to see in the candidates who they hire.

Here are two important reminders for students registered in the Co-op and Internship courses this semester.

  • In order to be recognized as an official participant in the Cooperative Education Program or the Internship Program, you must submit all applicable documentation to the Program Coordinator, located in the Career Development Center.  Click on the link to download the PDF documents for the applicable program course.

  • In order to receive academic credit for your co-op or internship experience, you must be officially registered for the Cooperative Education course or the Internship (Interdisciplinary) course.

Here are the possible courses you can register for:

Cooperative Education courses are listed as COOP 398, COOP 198 and COOP 298.  These course options are within each academic discipline.  However, it is the discretion of the academic departments to make the courses available for its students.

The Internship (Interdisciplinary) course is listed as IDIS 201 or IDIS 202.

Mandatory for students enrolled in Cooperative Education courses.  Plan to attend only one session.

Session I – 12pm-1pm

Session II – 5pm-6pm

Professional Development Session:  Wednesday, March 12, 2014 (Location TBA)

Mandatory for students enrolled in Co-op & Interdisciplinary Courses IDIS 201or IDIS 202

5pm-6:30pm

Mid-Program Evaluation:  Wednesday, March 12, 2014

Internship Program

Program Orientation:  Tuesday, February 4, 2014, Student Center in Suite 3007

Mandatory for students enrolled in Interdisciplinary Course IDIS 201or IDIS 202. Plan to attend only one session.

Session I – 12pm-1pm

Session II – 4:30pm – 5:30pm
