Personal Values and Academic Achievements
As a member of the Honors Program, I have maintained high academic standards.  I have also refined my work ethic and time management skills in balancing my scholastic obligations and my extracurricular activities.

Why did you choose to attend Bowie State University?
I chose BSU because I received a full academic scholarship.

What professor/s has had the most impact on you and why?
Professor Chandra Lipscomb had a great impact on my time at BSU.  She helped to ease my transition into senior year and provided valuable information that I will carry with me throughout my future.

How Bowie State has helped to enhance your cultural experiences.
In my pre-collegiate education, I had always gone to very racially mixed schools.  At BSU, I was introduced to the diversity housed within the black community.

Next Steps
I plan to go to graduate school after a year of working in my field.  I am as of yet undecided on what I will study in graduate school.

What extracurricular activities and community service have made a significant and positive difference in your life?
As the president of Eyes Wide Shut, I feel like I made an impact not only at BSU, but also on the climate at HBCU's in relation to the LGBT community.  As a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., I believe I have affected the overall student morale and helped to show the true purpose of BGLOs.
