Legacy Luncheon

2:30-4:30 p.m.

Honor past student leaders and professional staff who have impacted campus life at BSU at the invitation-only Legacy Luncheon awards ceremony.
Location: Ballroom, Student Center

Coronation
5-7 p.m. (Doors open at 4:15 p.m.)

Celebrate BSU tradition at the official crowning Mr. and Miss Bowie State and the University Court.
Cost: Free with ticket
Location: Myers Auditorium, Martin Luther King Jr. Communication Arts Center

Coronation Reception
7 –9 p.m.
Enjoy music and dancing at the reception immediately following the Coronation (invitation only).

The Alumni Legacy Artist-in-Residence
10 a.m. - 4 p.m. (Open daily through Friday, Oct. 11)

Marvel at the phenomenal artwork of the Artist-in-Residence, featuring the premiere of the J. Sidney Sheppard Collection (Class of 1948). The exhibition includes artifacts, memorabilia and historic pieces.

Alumni Volunteer Training and Reception
1-3 p.m.

Reconnect with your school and recruit future Bulldogs as an alumni volunteer with the Office of Admissions. Join the team and learn how to play a major role in attracting new students. All participants will receive comp admission to 5th Quarter.
Location: Center for Business and Graduate Studies, 3rd Floor Conference Room


Bowie’s Got Talent
8-11 p.m.

Watch BSU students showcase their talents and compete for prizes and bragging rights. The winner will perform at YardFest.

Bulldog Nation Affair Breast Cancer Awareness Show
8-10 p.m.

Groove to the tunes of local and celebrity artists while observing Breast Cancer Awareness Month, including R&B/Soul sensations Avery *Sunshine, Algebra Blessett, Q Parker of 112 and up-and-coming Maryland native, Michelyn Cierra. Briclyn Entertainment's First Annual Pink Alive Concert is an event to increase awareness of early prevention and educate men and women about their risk factors.

Bulldog Parade CANCELLED
Due to weather-related concerns, the Bowie State University homecoming parade is cancelled.
9 a.m.
Take pride in your school at the annual parade with the Symphony of Soul band and Golden Girls. Community groups and bands will also perform.

Car Show
POSTPONED
The car show is postponed until Saturday, Oct. 19.
10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Check out the hotrods and show cars before the Homecoming game.
