In this session faculty will be able to explore strategies that will engage and motivate adult learners through planned interactive activites,practice presentation elements for successful student engagement and retention, discuss how sterotypes in education can be eliminated and how to add cultural awareness and differentiated instruction into classroom settings and discover o diversity and cultural awareness training affects thier everyday lives and on-going teaching practices. |

In October 2008, Nikki E. Owens, a junior at Bowie State University, received a Milton Pericles Darden III Memorial Scholarship from the Scott Lee Foundation during its First Annual Nicole Lynette Scott Lee Memorial Scholarship Awards Reception. 
Dr. Kehbuma Langmia teaches research and other media-related courses in the Department of Communications for Bowie State University. A graduate from the Television and Film Academy in Munich, Germany, Langmia has extensive knowledge and training in media productions and management. 
My experience has been extremely rewarding. I have made everlasting relationships with people and my teachers, coaches and other administrators are just wonderful.
