Department of Public Safety DATE: October 6, 2010 Campus Parking for POTUS Visit The purpose of this correspondence is to advise you of the parking regulations that will be in effect on Thursday, October 7, 2010, in preparation for the historic visit by President Barack Obama to the Bowie State University campus. Because of the magnitude of the event and the requirements for a visit of this type, we will be strictly enforcing parking on campus starting at 6 a.m. on Thursday. The only vehicles that will be allowed to park on campus will be Bowie State students, faculty and staff who have a current, visible parking permit. If you do not have a permit to park on campus you will not be allowed access to park on campus until after 4 p.m. on October 7. Thanks in advance for your assistance. In October 2008, Nikki E. Owens, a junior at Bowie State University, received a Milton Pericles Darden III Memorial Scholarship from the Scott Lee Foundation during its First Annual Nicole Lynette Scott Lee Memorial Scholarship Awards Reception. 
Dr. Gail S. Medford, a native of New Orleans and a full professor of Theatre Arts, is an alumna of Xavier University of New Orleans, the University of South Carolina, and the University of Maryland at College Park, where she received her B.A in Communication Arts, M.A. in Acting and Ph.D. in Public Communications: Theatre, respectively. 
Sudarat Tuntivivat describes herself as “a small town girl from Thailand” with a dream of studying other cultures. That dream led her to leave Thailand at 17 to study at Pennsylvania’s Edinboro University. As an undergraduate, Sudarat interned at the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, an opportunity that inspired her to pursue an advanced degree at Bowie State University.
